- What is the purpose
of Swing Central?
- The aim of The Swing Central
is to make it as easy as possible for you to meet swingers and potential partners
quickly and easily through the Internet. We catagorize all of our members
according to their sex and sexual preference and allow everyone to list their
interests in all types of intimate and erotic activities. We also have many
new features planned for future release, and we look forward to hearing from
you as to how they have helped!

site really free?
- Yes, we will always keep the
site free for Silver members. Payment is only required for members to enjoy
the benefits of Gold membership.

- What is a Silver
Membership?
- Silver accounts are
free. They are limited however. Silver members cannot see member full-size
photos, thumbnails of X-rated
photos, or Instant Messenger contact information.
Gold members can also create an unlimited number of Photo Gallerys with an
unlimited number of photos. Silver members are limited to one gallery with
only 8 images. Silver members communication experiences depend on the sex
of the ad placer. As
as a Silver member you can only read and reply to messages from Gold members.
As a Silver member, unless you are communicating in reply to a message from
a Gold member, you can only send small, pre-written messages.

- Single women with Silver
accounts are free to REPLY to messages from ANYONE except other single women.
However, as the recipient of a message from a single woman, you still must
be a Gold member to read the message sent to you.

- How do I become
a full member?
- You can instantly become a Gold
Member by clicking on the UPGRADE LINK in the navigation bar in the top of
the screen. When you become a Gold member, there are currently 4 ways you
can join: 1.) use a credit card through our SECURE Internet method, or
2.) Online Check. 3.) 900 Number- a one time payment made by phone.
4.) by Money Order or cashiers Check, through standard mail.

- Are members on
this site screened?
- Yes and no. You will not be
able to become a member without a valid e-mail address since completing your
registration requires you visit a URL we send you in email. However, there
is no way that we can do extensive background checks on members, and we expect
you to understand that we cannot take responsibility for any damage caused
to you by use of this site. Please use your common sense and be careful about
giving out personal information such as phone number, home address or real
email to people you meet on this site as well as any other site.

- I
keep getting told that my session has expired and I have
to enter again. What's happening?
- Swing Central
has an automatic session expiration after 60 minutes of no usage. If you find
that your session is timing out prior to the 60 minutes, there are a couple
of things that you can do to stop this from happening:
1.) Be sure that you
have "cookies" enabled in your systems browser.
- 2.) Be sure that the
browser version that you are using is a current version. You may need to
download a new version, if yours is older.

- The following actions are
highly recommended to remove any persistant cookie-problems, if your
sessions expire prematurely:
IF YOU ARE USING INTERNET EXPLORER
- 1.) Close all instances
of your browser that are open
- 2.) Open WINDOWS EXPLORER
and go to the following directory: WINDOWS\TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES (you
may be prompted to SHOW FILES to see the contents of this folder)
- 3.) Select ALL the files
in this folder (you can do this by pushing down Ctrl-A or clicking on the
EDIT OPTION and choosing SELECT ALL from the drop down list
- 4.) Press the Delete Key
on your keyboard
- 5.) Your system may ask
you to confirm file and cookie deletion. Tell it YES. Depending on how
much information has been accumulated in this directory, this may take
some time to complete.
- 6) Restart your browser
and re-login.

- How can I contact
Swing Central?
- If you need to contact Swing
Central for any reason, email Lisa at: sd_admn@yahoo.com.
Please be certain to include any necessary information such as your USERNAME
or SUBSCRIPTION NUMBER.
- My profile information
has changed/I want to change my profile information...
- After you have entered the site
as a registered member, You will see an ACCOUNT link in the navigation bar.
Click on that link to access a variety of options including changing your
profile, location, email address, etc.

- How do I change
my Username?
- We do not allow members to change
their Username themselves. To change your username you will need to contact
Lisa - sd_admn@yahoo.com.
We do this to avoid login problems.

by the The Swingers Directory Webmasters. Please allow 24 hours for us to
process the changes you request.
- How do I change
my email address?
- If you have moved and have a
new Internet Service Provider, or you wish to change your e-mail address for
any other reason, go to the ACCOUNT section and choose edit your account details.

- How do I upload/update
my photograph?

- After logging in , look
for the PHOTO CENTER information on the left hand side of the screen..
- Click on the "Review/add/change/delete
photos here" link.
- Click on the "Browse..."
button, which will let you choose an image file (.gif or .jpeg) to upload.
After choosing the file you wish to upload, click the "SUBMIT"
button. Your photo will be uploaded to our server. You can upload 6 images.
We do have size limits: currently photos must be 300K or less in size.
- If you ever decide you want
to remove a photo, you may do so by going to the PHOTO CENTER screen and
clicking on the checkbox to the right of the image you wish to remove.
Our system automatically creates thumbnails of your images, a preview
thumbnail of each photo will appear to the left of it's name in the PHOTO
CENTER screen.

- Important Note:

- We reserve the right
to remove any photo or file which we deem offensive or inappropriate for
this site. We will not approve any photo which contains Child Pornography
and/or Bestiality. We will also not approve any photo which is overly
large or clearly spam. Please try to keep photos within 400 pixels in
width.

- What if I can't
upload a photograph?
- For those who are unable to
upload photos, or you don't have a SCANNER, please send your photo along with
your handle and a money order for $5 (payable to: Tech-Style) to:

If you need your photo back,
please include a self addressed, stamped envelope, and allow a week or so
for us to scan the image, upload it and return your photo. If you have a
photo on a PC disk, send it along with $5 and we'll upload it for you!

- Are profiles
censored? Is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?
- Yes. All member profiles are
subject to approval by Swing Central's webmasters. We reserve the right to
refuse any profile or photograph which we feel is inappropriate for this site.
Repeat offenders of this rule will be banned from Swing Central. We have a
wide allowance for personal expression, but hostility and spam will not be
tolerated. We reserve the right to edit any and all ads if we consider their
content inappropriate.

- What are some
important tips to remember when creating my profile?
- The number of replies you get
from other members will depend greatly on the quality of your profile. Here
are some helpful tips which will help you:
- Upload a photograph -
People like to see who they're writing to, and as a result profiles with
photographs get many more clicks than profiles which don't. One of our
goals in creating this site was to make photograph submission as easy
as possible, so please take advantage of this feature. If you don't have
access to a scanner, and don't know anyone with access to a scanner, see

- Give yourself an
identity - If you're going to take the time to upload a photo,
try to include more than just a close up of your "privates."
Include a range of photos, and if you feel comfortable doing so, try to
let people see your face! Action shots and posed nudes are great too!
- Make a catchy title for
your profile - When people do a search for listings on the site, the
title of your profile is listed. As a rule, profile titles like "Hi!"
do not catch people's attention.
- Tell others about yourself and what
you want - Ads like "Write me. I want to have sex."
typically will not result in a flood of email in your box! Be sure to
fully describe yourself, your interests, and what you're looking for!

- How do I send
e-mail to members?
- You can send e-mail to users
by clicking on the SEND MAIL link in the upper right section of their profile
(below the navigation bar). Simply type in your message (or choose a prewritten
message) and click the "Send" button. Soon, Gold members will also
be able to send pop-up INSTANT MESSAGES. Note that members who send you mail
will never be shown your actual e-mail address, so your privacy is
guaranteed as long as you don't give your e-mail address out.

- How do I get
e-mail from other members?
- You need to do NOTHING
to receive e-mail sent to your Swing Central account. Whenever mail is sent
to your online mailbox, you will automatically be notified at your real e-mail
address. If you are online when someone sends you mail or an INSTANT MESSAGE,
a small envelope icon will appear at the left hand side of the navigation
bar -- right next to the HOME link. Just click on the navigation bar MAILBOX
link.
What if another member is sending me abusive email?
If another member is sending you abusive email or is harassing
you in any way, please don't hesitate to send an email message to Lisa - sd_admn@yahoo.com.
We do not tolerate this kind of behavior. All matters will
be investigated. All offenders will receive one warning. If the abuse persists,
the offender's account will be deleted and the offender will be banned from
the site. We also have a BLOCK EMAIL feature which will allow you to automatically
refuse receiving mail from a user.

- How
do I search for members?
- There are two
ways that you can search our database: by Username or by
a detailed description. If you are looking for a specific
person and you can remember their Username, click on the
"SEARCH 4 A USER" button and enter it in the
"User Name" field. If you are not looking for a
specific person, but rather someone who matches a
description you give, then use the second form on the
BROWSE PROFILES page, which allows you to describe the
kind of person you are looking for. You can currently
search by other advertiser's location, sex and the sexes
THEY wish to meet. You can also tell the system to only
show you ads that contain certain words in the AD BODY.

- How can I keep
track of people I'm interested in? What is the "Playmate" list?
- Swing Central members, when
you are viewing ads, you will notice that every ad has a list of PLAYMATES
to the left. These are people who the user likes or is in contact with, etc.
You can use your own PLAYMATE list as a quick way to keep track of users who
interest you or that you keep in touch with frequently. Click on the ADD AS
PLAYMATE link on a user's profile to add them to your PLAYMATE list. You can
manage your PLAYMATE list in the ACCOUNT section of Swing Central

- I
forgot my password. What can I do to recover it?
- From entrance page to Swing
Central, enter your EMAIL in the appropriate field on the lower right corner
of the page (in the yellow box with the words "Forgot Password?")
Click the submit button and your password will be reset and a new password
will be e-mailed to you at the e-mail address you entered when you registered
for the site. If this does not work and you do not receive an email with your
user information within an hour, please email Lisa - sd_admn@yahoo.com,
with your username and the email address that you used when you registered.

- I am a GOLD
MEMBER and wish to cancel my subscription. How can I do this?
- To cancel your GOLD MEMBERSHIP
please visit the ACCOUNT section and click on the SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT
link. This section will give you information to what type of membership you
currently have at Swing Central and allow you to send a request to cancel
your Gold Membership. *Please allow 3 business days to process all cancellation
requests. Cancellation requests must be received at least 3 business days
prior to scheduled renewal of current membership. After receiving
your request we will mark your account to expire at the end of your current
membership period at which point your membership will revert to SILVER STATUS.
If you wish us to Cancel your subscription AND remove your ad BEFORE your
membership period has expired, you must request this SPECIFICALLY when requesting
a cancellation. Options to do so are available in the SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT
tool.
